The Norwegian pulled off a sublime piece of skill in a 50-50 tackle with Alex Iwobi

Odegaard scored the north Londoners’ third goal in a 4-0 victory over the Toffees to boost their chances of winning their first league title in nearly 20 years.

But the Emirates faithful were left astounded by the former Real Madrid man when he turned a tackle on Alex Iwobi into a stunning piece of skill.

As the pair slid in for a 50-50, Odegaard pulled out of the challenge and used his backheel to flick the ball past the former Arsenal man.

Fans went wild at the skill, with one saying: “That slide tackle from Odegaard on Iwobi was so silky.”

Another said: “That moment in the game where Odegaard made that nuts slide tackle against Iwobi.

“Wtf did he even do?! Looool he is a madman.”

And another said: “What on earth did Odegaard just do to Iwobi?”

One remarked: “Filth from Odegaard to win that ball from Iwobi.”

Another chimed in: “That Odegaard Iwobi 50-50.”

A brace from Gabriel Martineli and a first-half strike from Bukayo Saka saw Arsenal stretch their lead at the summit of the Premier League to five points.

After the match, an elated Gunners boss Mikel Arteta roared: “What I like is that everyone has the enthusiasm to do it.

“We’re not going to stop that and we have to promote it.

The way to promote it is to look at this game and understand we can do things better, especially in the first half.”

Arsenal will be back in action on Sunday, welcoming relegation battlers Bournemouth to the Emirates.
