Moira crash tragedy: Child killed after ‘lorry smashed into grandmother pushing pram’ in Northern Ireland

A CHILD has died after a lorry crashed into a grandmother pushing a pram.
Emergency services today rushed to Main Street, Moira, County Down earlier at 1.43pm today

It’s believed the grandmother was crossing the road and walked across at a set of traffic lights in front of the lorry.
Witnesses say the woman became trapped under the vehicle before being rushed to hospital.
She remains in a critical condition.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Motorists are advised that Main Street in Moira is closed due to a serious road traffic collision.
“The off-slip to Moira from the M1 is also closed.
“The advice would be to seek an alternative route for your journey. An update will follow in due course.”
