Our Yorkshire Farm fans are all in agreement as Amanda Owen posts pics of kids eating in ‘minus 10’ temperatures

THE Yorkshire Shepherdess has united her followers over her family’s choice of al fresco snack in heavy snow.

During this week’s heavy snowfall, Amanda Owen, shared the latest updates from Ravenseat farm with her fans on social media.

As Yorkshire enjoyed a blanket of snow, Amanda, 48, snapped her nine children enjoying ice cream outside wrapped up for the elements in waterproof trousers, thick jackets, wellies and bobble hats.

Sharing the moment with her 200,000 followers on Twitter she wrote: “Drifting snow, temperatures down to minus 10 but the troopers were still eating ice cream.”

Fans were all in agreement over the family’s decision to enjoy the treat outside in plummeting temperatures.

Multiple followers wrote: “Never too cold for ice cream.” One added: “Has to be done.” 

In reference to the blue skies and bright light, another said: “Well, it was sunny.” While another said: “If the sun is shining, anything goes in my book!”

The star has won over fans with her incredible work ethic and approach to life running a farm and having a large family that was documented on Our Yorkshire Farm.

She regularly is praised for her choice of lifestyle. One fan said: “What  a gorgeous photo of the family!”

However it wasn’t all sunshine, smiles and sweet treats, yesterday, Amanda revealed the weather conditions made life on the farm difficult and dangerous for her flock of sheep.

She wrote: “Yesterday was horrendous. Sleet and snow thawing made for serious flooding and dangerous situations whilst trying to fodder the sheep.

“They stayed on low lying ground as gale force winds blew on tops but this was scary. You do your best but we were lucky that there were no casualties.”

Her fans sent their support, one wrote: “Be careful outside …… like all your photos.”
