The ill-feeling began during the band’s Myrtle Beach show in South Carolina, when Shifty, 48, failed to show up until the very end of the set leaving Bobby to struggle through alone.
Bobby was heard fuming on stage: “I’m so mad at f**kin’ Shifty right now.”
And things spilled over violently after the gig when the pair clashed outdoors while onlookers watched on.
Troubled Shifty accused Bobby of stealing his money and beat his band member on the ground leaving his face a bloody mess.
Bobby denied any wrongdoing and retaliated with some vile threats against Shifty and his family.
Dazed from the barrage of punches, Bobby refused to back down and, after rising to his feet, he landed a clean blow on Shifty, drawing blood.
Shifty then took Bobby to the ground again and continued hitting him before the pair were separated.
The group rose to fame in the nu-metal scene around the turn of the millennium and is best known for chart-topping 2001 hit Butterfly.
Following the bust-up, Bobby recorded a video in which he showed off his cuts and bruises and said: “Me and Shifty got into a little scuffle, but it’s all good. We’re brothers.”
Things have gone from bad to worse for the group, too as they have been kicked off the tour with headliners (hed) p.e.
That group’s frontman Jared Gomes said in a video to fans: “We’re not saints, by any means, and (hed)p.e. has done some crazy s**t. I’m not passing judgement on Crazy Town or Seth or anything like that. But whatever has gone on with us, we’ve always tried to come with a good rock show.
“Because of what’s going on with Seth and Crazy Town right now — Seth needs help. We can’t just sit by while he’s on the road, battling demons to the death. He needs to get off the road and deal with that s**t. You’ve seen the video. If it was just a fistfight between band members, maybe I could be the first one to mediate that s**t. But this is a lot deeper.”
