Netflix fans ‘can’t sleep’ after ‘disturbing’ horror Choose Or Die calling it ‘so graphic’

Netflix fans have been left unable to sleep after watching Choose or Die.

Viewers of the film are “disturbed” by the horror thriller.

Taking to social media, fans complained of the movie being so “graphic”.

One wrote: “Just started watching Choose Or Die on Netflix and I can’t lie it’s bit disturbing and that’s coming from someone who can watch graphic sh*t.”

A second chimed in: “Two minutes into Choose Or Die and I’m already scared. Lights are on. Partner is in the next room. I can do this.”

A third gushed: “I started Choose or Die without any expectations because I’d never heard of it but horror and video games drew me in. Holy crap this movie is awesome!

“It’s so randomly nerdy, incredibly dark, and just a treat to watch.”

Another remarked: “I’m watching Choose or Die.

“Not bad. It’s about gamers. Horror… Best choice if you don’t want to sleep.”

The British horror, released in 2022, is directed by Toby Meakins.

Merging the horror genre and gaming, Chosen Or Die follows a student who is strapped for cash.

In pursuit of a £125,000 prize, Kayla, depicted by Iola Evans, plays an obscure 1980’s video game.

Hal, played by Eddie Marsan, who is a retro video game collector, had previously acquired the horrifying game, named CURS>R.

When testing it out, he discovered that this interactive copy was much more than an adventure story and as a tragic result, his family were harmed in the process.

In a shocking twist, Kayla and Hal later discover that CURS>R has managed to escape to the net and is following them.

Toward the end of the film, after vast blood-shed, the game orders Kayla to “beat the boss”.

The boss turns out to be Hal, who is now a cruel man who tortures his wife Laura and son Gabe.

An intense fight unfolds, but ultimately Kayla prevails and defeats the game.

Kayla receives the prize and takes over the curse.

But she must now choose who will suffer under her new power.

The film even features a couple of familiar faces.

Sex Education’s Asa Butterfield plays Kayla’s friend Isaac and Nightmare on Elm street star Robert Englund plays a fictionalised version of himself.

The cast is also joined by Coronation Street actress Angela Griffin, who has previously starred in the likes of Waterloo road and Holby City.
