Figures has revealed that Lana Jenkins is the most read about islander of the series.

The Luton makeup artist has been searched for a whopping 966,000 times since the show started.

Her boyfriend Ron is the second-most talked about islander as he’s had 834,000 page views.

The data, which has been collected by Taboola, suggests the couple will win the show based on popularity.

Ultimately the public decide which couple are crowned the winners of Love Island by a vote.

If the pair do scoop the crown, they’ll bag themselves a cool £50,000.

Dave Struzzi, Communications Leader at Taboola, said: “The numbers don’t lie – Ron and Lana are currently nailed on to take the title.

“They have clearly captured the nation’s hearts, but they need to keep a strong grip on the public’s interest as other couples battle to steal their crown.

“With the final coming in just a couple of weeks, Ron and Lana have done well to overcome the early challenges in their relationship.

“The nation’s news readership provides a great sign of genuine viewer interest in Ron and Lana, indicating they are first in line to win the cash prize.”

However, viewers are convinced they’ve spotted a “red flag” with Ron Hall when he asked Lana Jenkins to be his girlfriend.

The 25-year-old – who’s never been in a relationship before – surprised Lana by making them official other other night.

But after telling her he was ready to take it to the next level in a sweet speech, Ron slipped up by pointing out they’re the strongest couple in the villa.

He told Lana: “I can’t stop thinking about yesterday’s recoupling and about your speech and I thought when you said that you’re falling, we are stronger than ever, I don’t think anyone comes close to us.

“I’ve never had a relationship or anything like that so for me it’s like a massive thing.”

His comments made some fans worry he’s playing a game to reach the final.
