King Charles coronation latest — Downton Abbey star to host historic celebration as monarch is crowned on Bank Holiday
THE ROYAL Family has revealed the iconic British star set to host the King’s coronation celebrations next month.
Hugh Bonneville, famed for his roles in Paddington and Downton Abbey, will host the huge coronation concert set to take place the day after King Charles’ crowning.
Speaking about leading the star-studded event, he said: “I’m delighted to be taking part in this unique event, celebrating the best of musical entertainment in honour of His Majesty’s coronation. In true British style, come rain or shine it will be a night to remember.”
The event, hosted and televised live by the BBC will see an incredible line-up perform in front of 20,000 members of the public and invited guests.
So far some of the biggest names in music have been revealed to perform including, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Take That’s Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen.
