Insiders have revealed exactly what will play out on-screen – and it gets very dark.
Jesy will play her mum in the music video after delving into her painful past for solo material.
A source told The Sun: “The video is set in the 1970s and is based around the story of how Jesy’s mum met her dad.
“Jesy plays her mum and they shot in old East End pubs and a jazz club to recreate their love story.
“At first it’s really romantic, but then you see him with his mistress, then her crying at home after he fails to come home for dinner.
“There are fights, gaslighting, shocking scenes.
“Fans will really see the real Jesy and understand a lot more about her family after this video.”
It’s not known whether her dad cheated in real life, or whether she’s been creative with the music video.
But the 30-year-old has previously said her love of bad boys is linked to her dad John.
“Growing up my dad wasn’t around”, Jesy previously said.
“My dad wasn’t the best, he was in and out of prison, so I haven’t had many good men role models in my life, so maybe that’s where it stems from.”
She continued: “When I see someone that looks a bit naughty, I am instantly drawn to them, and it’s not good.
“If someone has a gold tooth I literally fall in love.”
It’s thought Jesy is still estranged from her father John.
After her 2021 debut solo track Boyz, she parted ways with Polydor in July last year due to creative differences.
