AN INTERIOR design pro has revealed ten simple ways to transform your bathroom on the cheap – including a two-minute towel hack that’ll make the whole room look posh. 

Megan, known online as @ahousetohomey, shared that swapping to matching, labeled bottles and adding small washcloths to dry your hands on will give the room an elevated, spa-like feel.

In a new TikTok, she said: “Ten cheap hacks to turn your bathroom into a mini spa. 

“Number one, you can find easy open shelving. 

“Number two, fresh scent. Go for something light, airy, and fresh. 

“Number three, candles for cozy lighting. Ambient lighting put candles everywhere. 

“Number four, use rolled-up washcloths for hand towels.”

Megan’s fifth tip involved putting liquids, like mouthwash, into a pretty decanter that you can leave out, giving you more space in your cupboards.  

She continued: “Number five is one of my favourites. Use a decanter for your mouthwash, it saves space and it’s so cute. 

“Number six, out with the old, in the new. Uniform and labeled bottles are really going to help elevate your shower space. 

“Number seven, I’m obsessed with these bamboo floor mats. 

“Number eight, use one large rug instead of the small ones. 

“Number nine, roll up your towels so guests can find them easier, and it saves space in storage. 

“Number ten, of course, a hanging robe.” 

Below the video, the interior designer added: “I swear apartment bathrooms are the most uninspiring places.

“I made some small swaps for my sister’s bathroom & the results made the space so much more inviting & homey.”

Fans loved her quick and easy hacks, with the video gaining more than 574,000 likes and 6.3 million views.

“I wish I could do all that but my apartment bathroom is the size of a pea,” someone else wrote.

Although not all were impressed with her ideas, with one adding: “How is that cheap?”

Megan replied: “Each hack alone is affordable, it’s not necessary to do every single one. Not everyone is for everyone, find what works for you.”
