Eamonn today told fans he is doing exercises to regain his balance again after the accident.

Part of his rehabilitation is to workout in the boxing ring.

Taking to Instagram, the GB News presenter posted a picture of himself sparring with his trainer.

The popular TV host was kitted out for the occasion dressed in black gym gear, and wearing a pair of cream boxing gloves.

Eamonn wrote next to the picture: “Today it was boxing to build balance and core strength. Road to recovery.”

His wife Ruth Langsford was quick to post an encouraging message, writing beneath his photo: “Go Rocky!”

And his fans all said the same thing as they rushed to praise Eamonn, with one saying: “Keep it up Eamonn you are doing so well.”

While another said: “Well done Eamon , I know it’s hard but keep it up!”

This follower heaped on the praise: “Looking good Eamonn good luck in your continued recovery.”

Today’s health update came after Eamonn was forced to undergo an operation last October.

But two weeks into his recovery he fell backwards down the stairs at the Weybridge home he shares with wife Ruth.

Last month he was spotted in a wheelchair as he left Wembley Stadium where he watched his team Manchester United beat Newcastle 2-0 to lift the Carabao Cup.

After months off-screen Eamonn started making his return to TV in January, admitting he was struggling with staying indoors.

Recalling his horrific injuries, he said: “Suddenly it was as if someone had shot my left knee from behind.

“It literally collapsed without any warning. I was on a curve of the stairs, and I just went back down the stairs, boom, boom, boom down the whole staircase until I hit the stone floor in the hallway.

“Blood was pouring out my mouth, and a bone was sticking out my shoulder.”

Eamonn added to the Daily Mail: “Ruth came rushing down the stairs. She kept saying, ‘You’re fine, everything’s okay, you’re fine.’ I said, ‘Ruthie, there is a bone sticking out of my shoulder — I’m not fine’.”

He was then left with a four hour wait after Ruth called for an ambulance.
