Declan Rice transfer news – next club odds: Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool trail Arsenal for £100m West Ham star

WEST HAM and England midfielder Declan Rice is expected to leave the London Stadium this summer.

And Premier League leaders Arsenal are leading contenders to complete his signature at odds of 2/1 with bookmakers Ladbrokes.

But although Mikel Arteta’s side are frontrunners, there’s several top-flight heavyweights looking to spoil the party.

Four clubs are available at single-figure prices with Chelsea second-favourites at 4/1, ahead of Manchester City and Manchester United, who are offered at 6/1 and 8/1 respectively.

Liverpool and Newcastle are outsiders of the pack but not out of the running with the pair locked together at 10/1 to clinch Rice’s services when the transfer window opens.

Rice has made 229 appearances for West Ham since making his full senior debut in August 2017.

During that period the 24-year-old has earned 39 England caps, reached the Euro 2020 final and twice won West Ham’s Player of the Year award.

But his time with the Hammers looks to be up with Rice eyeing Champions League football and silverware.

Rice’s contract expires in June 2024, and the player has rejected multiple contract extensions — including an eight-year deal worth £83million.

It’s thought West Ham would expect a fee of around £100million to green-light a sale.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Declan Rice is far too good for a relegation scrap.

“And with Arsenal all-but guaranteed a Champions League spot while mounting a serious title challenge, the odds suggest the West Ham star could be tempted by a move across London.”

Rice made his future plans very clear while away with England at the World Cup, and stated his desire to play at the highest level.

He told reporters: “One hundred per cent I want to play in the Champions League.

“For the last two or three years I’ve been saying that. I’ve been playing consistently well for my club and I feel like I really want to keep pushing. I see my friends here who are playing Champions League and for big trophies.

“You only get one career and at the end you want to look back at what you’ve won and the biggest games you’ve played in.”
