Ruxandra, who was born in Romania, landed the part in Coronation Street in 2019.
But almost two years after quitting the show it seems as though the stunning actress has swapped the small screen for the stage after revealing she has landed a huge theatre role.
Ruxandra, who left Corrie in 2021, is part of the cast of brand new London based theatre show Stray Dogs.
The actress will make her stage debut when she plays a character named Ana in the show when it opens later this month.
Revealing her big news in a post uploaded to her Insta feed last month, Ruxandra wrote: “Delighted to be making my London theatre debut playing the role of Ana in Stray Dogs by Theo Chester.
“This visceral new play runs Tues 14th March – Sat 2nd April @theatre503. Get your tickets via @theatre503… off I go.”
Ruxandra’s former Corrie co-star Alexandra Mardell was quick to express her excitement at her pal’s big career move.
Commenting underneath the post, she said: “Ah love 503. Yeyyyy.”
Ruxandra’s character was involved in a number of gripping plots during her two years on the soap.
Most notably, her character was behind the split of Weatherfield couple Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs after the latter embarked on a passionate affair with Alina.
The character was also part of a heartbreaking human-trafficking storyline.
The actress has been fairly quiet since bowing out of the soap in autumn 2021.
She currently has one upcoming project listed on her IMDB.
It’s thought that she will appear in the forthcoming movie Sumotherhood, which is a sequel to hit Brit flicks Kidulthood and Adulthood.
The film also stars Adam Deacon, Jennifer Saunders and Ed Sheeran.
Ruxandra had previously studied at the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest before moving to London when she was 22 years old.
The budding actress had just £300 to her name when she landed in the UK and bagged herself a job at Pizza Express as a waitress.
This helped pay for acting classes and travel to and from auditions.
