Bayern Munich 2 PSG 0 (3-0 agg): Messi and Mbappe crash OUT of Champions League after Choupo-Moting and Gnabry goals

LIONEL MESSI’S Champions League dream is over once again thanks to a Stoke City reject.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting headed in on the hour mark – just minutes after his first goal was chalked off – to put this epic last-16 tie to bed before Serge Gnabry clinched it.

Bayern Munich led 1-0 after the first leg in Paris but PSG offered very little at the Allianz Arena.

Their best chance came when Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer inexplicably gifted Vitinha the ball but the Portuguese midfielder’s goal-bound shot was somehow cleared off the line by Matthijs de Ligt.

Choupo-Moting was denied by an offside Thomas Muller’s involvement just after the break but he got his goal – and this time had Muller to thank.

The German forward teamed up with Leon Goretzka to put pressure and dispossess Marco Veratti on the edge of the PSG box.

Muller then passed to Goretzka who selflessly squared for the Cameroon international, released by PSG, to tap in at the back post.

Sommer produced a sublime save to deny Sergio Ramos’ header from a corner and the Spaniard later planted one wide but it was Bayern who looked more likely to get the next goal, but for Leroy Sane’s poor decision making.

The home side did get their second of the night and third of the tie in the 90th minute as Gnabry tucked in after another lightning-quick counter.

Sadio Mane thought he added another deep into injury time but the offside flag went up immediately.
