Amber Gill breaks silence on Arsenal footballer girlfriend Jen Beattie and slams ‘depressing’ haters who called it fake
LOVE Island winner Amber Gill has opened up about her relationship with Arsenal star Jen Beattie for the first time.
Amber told The Sun they had been dating for six-months after meeting on Tik Tok – and hit out at people who didn’t believe their romance was real.

Amber, 25, won Love Island in 2019 with Irish rugby star Greg O’Shea, 27, but they split soon after the show.
Speaking about her romance with defender Jen, 31, Amber said: “Everybody was like ‘We watched you date a man.’”
The star added: “People didn’t believe it. They don’t want to believe it. It was so annoying!
“I think because I come from Love Island it’s hard for people to think that I could go on a date with a woman. I don’t know why – it’s very closed minded.”
She went on: “I think the whole thing that I was doing it to stay relevant or that it’s not real, or that it couldn’t possibly be real, that’s a bit depressing.
“But I can say I’m in a relationship with a girl now, she’s so nice and I’m really happy – we met on Tik Tok – some people have said I’m a fake, but I can deal with that.”
Amber and Jen kept their relationship under wraps for months but kissed in front of crowds at Selhurst Park last week when Jen’s Arsenal side won the FA Women’s League Cup Final.
The pair made their red carpet debut together at the BBC Radio 1 Presents Big Weekend 2023 launch party in London on Wednesday and were later seen cosying up in a taxi with their arms draped over one another.
Amber said: “I did such a good job of keeping it quiet. We just didn’t put anything on social media for ages.
“We used to go out all the time, we used to play golf together. People are so nice, they don’t say anything – I love that about my followers.”
She added that they hadn’t met each other’s families yet saying: “That’s because we both live down here and they live up there.
“The last time we were both at our own homes for Christmas, so I think when both of our families come down here next time we will think about introducing everyone.”
