BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Amanda Holden has spilled the beans on what it’s like working with new “bonkers” judge Bruno Tonioli on the new series.

It comes after The Sun revealed how Amanda, 51, and her BGT co-star Alesha Dixon, 44, had held back on signing their contracts for the show.

Amanda, who spoke to The Sun at Superdrug Presents 2023, said of the former Strictly star: Bruno’s got great energy, he’s absolutely bonkers.

“It’s really surprising as he’s bilingual in about three languages, so he spoke to people in their native tongue when they came on stage.”

Speaking about the wealth of experience he’ll be bringing to the show, Amanda continued: “He knows about art, he knows loads about singing, he knows loads about dancing.

“He’s been in showbiz for 97-years, he’s a real authority.

“He was a good addition to the show, he was fun, really fun.”

The TV favourite also revealed that there will be a few surprise acts with some very unusual skills.

“We finished Britain’s Got Talent two weeks, all the auditions are over and done with, we are editing as we speak,” she told us.

“There are so many golden buzzers this year, the judges had more than one.

“Every single act is brilliant, I don’t know how we’re going to decide who goes through – it’s going to be difficult to decide.

“There is a lot of people playing things with their body parts, it’s impressive.”

Last month Amanda opened up to The Sun about Bruno’s rulebreaking.

Speaking of Bruno, she said: “He’s a wonderful ball of energy and in a good way he’s already broken every rule.

“So much so that Simon will probably have to throw out any rulebook this year.

“It’s going to be a brilliant series. We’ve only filmed auditions in London so far but we can’t wait to get to Manchester for the first time since the pandemic hit.”

Bruno is the latest addition to the panel, replacing David Walliams, as he joins , AmandaSimon Cowell and Alesha Dixon.

However, filming descended into chaos after Bruno admitted he’s never watched the show and broke rules by pressing the golden buzzer twice.

Each judge, plus hosts Ant and Dec, is permitted to send one act through to the live show by pressing the buzzer but not knowing this rule, Bruno used it more than once.

Producers were sent into a panic over whether to allow the contestant through, or to cancel Bruno’s over-excitable intervention – with show boss Simon Cowell locked in a heated discussion with the head of production company Fremantle over what to do.

But luckily the act was sent through to the the next round.
